I recently had the amazing opportunity to compose the soundtrack for the 2023 film "Sundial," directed and written by Jeff Gray. It's a deeply emotional film that follows Jacob, an astrophysicist, who grapples with depression after a personal tragedy. It's only at the end that he finds the courage to take a leap of faith and use his time machine in an attempt to change the past.
Working on "Sundial" was a truly inspiring experience for me. Scoring the film allowed me to express the rollercoaster of emotions that Jacob experiences throughout his journey. I wanted to create a soundtrack that captured the raw intensity of his depression, as well as the hope and excitement that come with his decision to finally turn on the time machine.
